Court accommodations--repost due to false vilation notice--?

i only saw teh 1st 2 answers





is it reasonable to ask a court to provide tehse accomodatiosn for someone who is severely disabled





in small claims/municipal court where there are dozens of cases--andyou amy need to wait all day for your case to be called...





perosn is not able to get tehre early or sit or stay in court for a long time








would asking for teh case to be placed last on teh docket and teh perosn allowed to come to court only for last hour of session be considered a reasonabel accommodation?





i though it was --but a county court in NJ refused to even consider it--they only gacve a list of pre approved accommodations and would not coonsider any otehrs

Yes, I think that would be a reasonable request for an accommodation, depending on the individual's specific disability and circumstances. you'd find out just how able i coudl sit in a courrt toom--and yes its much digfernt--wehen i suerd your *** off for harssment based on diasbility--

court benches are uncomfortablke--and i don't sit around at hoe--i am mostly in bed LAYING DOWN





\i can only sit up for shoprt periods --even then i am often doubled over in pain--not to mention teh exhaustion that comes form my illness-

i don't go to movies--i don't travel more than a 1/2 hour--i cna't go ona plane








you have no right telling someopne that they coudln't have teh disbaility they haver---your attiutude is a good arguemnt for teh detah penalty

besides about an hour or 2total per day online...with many breaks





my whole life is eating, bathing and short trips for necessities-


i have max 4 functioanl hours per day--including ADLs---

Actually no, I can see where this would not be considered reasonable because they have no idea when the court docket will end. I do think it would be reasonable to be called first in the AM or first in the PM.

I don't see how sitting in a court room for a couple hours can be much different than sitting at home for a few hours, it's not like you can't leave the court room to use the restroom or anything. Also the court docket may not even be finalized until the previous day. I've been in a traffic court where they had to finish up the previous day's cases because they ';overbooked'; the number of cases they thought they could get through in a single day.





I guess if you feel that the court isn't accommodating you properly, you could file a complaint, but taking the legal system to court probably won't work out all that well for you.





Also, have you considered using Firefox when posting on Yahoo Answers. It has built in spellchecker that doesn't require any typing. All you have to do his right click on the misspelled word.
