If she done that first time... and no criminal harm done possible she will get a fine and a lecture from the Judge. But if in the other hand - her false reporting created miscarriage of Justice he punishment will be heavier according the damages that created due to her false reporting.
Unless she is a habitual offender, she'll probably just get a fine - at worst, she might get a few days in jail, but it's doubtful - unless she has done this before.

Depends on how in-depth the false report is, and it could be a misc or felony. If it is her first offense, maybe they will just let her take probation and community service. You can get on line in your state, go to law library and research this. I am not from your state, some time the laws vary from state to state, or you can call and ask a attorney, I am sure her attorney already knows and has explained to her everything that could happen. She might also have to think about the fact that if she named someone in that false report and caused them to get arrested etc. that person can come back and sue her in court. Good Luck
