1. TRUE: The vast majority of cases that reach the Supreme Court arrive through appelate jurisdiction. In rare cases--such as a disagreement between states, and a criminal case involving a foreign official in the United States--the SC DOES have the power of original jurisdiction. But it is very rarely used.





2. I don't know what is meant by ';certificate';. I know that cases can reach the SC on a writ of certiorari.
