I need help! Is there any punishment to the guy who made a false claim in a Canadian Court?

I'm helping my friend, who was facing a false claim against him in a Canada court.

My friend owns a house in Canada, but someone reported a false case to the Police, and sued him in the Court, claiming the house was belonged to him.

I wonder is there any legal punishment in Canada for reporting a false case to the police and set up a false accusation?

Or could anyone tell me the legal term of ';reporting false case'; in Canada?

Thanks a lot!I need help! Is there any punishment to the guy who made a false claim in a Canadian Court?
it is not that easy to make such false accusations in Canada as every transaction as the one you describe goes through a rigourous checking process

leave it to the courts because there will be mortgage papers, ownership papers and transfer papers as well as other documents which cannot be forged ie loan documents and the court will decide what will be done to the person making the false claim most likely they will be charged and given a hefty fine or even jail time

ps plz dont believe anyone if they tell you someone stole my property in canada as it is virtually impossible it is not India and the guidelines are very strictI need help! Is there any punishment to the guy who made a false claim in a Canadian Court?
if ur friend has lost the frist case in which other party had lied and won then there is no way. because he has last at first. u cant do anything without prove and if u had prove then u wouldnt have lost the first case. so no there is nothing u can do about it.
You should be contacting a lawyer and asking this question.
