Has anyone filed a false Cert of liability to the court clerk to dismiss a 'driving w/o liability ins' tckt?

I am a life and health agent and don't write P%26amp;C. My client knows this is wrong to do..but seems willing to take the risk. His stance is the clerk doesn't verify certificates. Agents.. any experiences or advice will be passed on.Has anyone filed a false Cert of liability to the court clerk to dismiss a 'driving w/o liability ins' tckt?
He puts you in a very bad situation talking to you. You have to tell him it is illegal, and that you will report him to the authorities if he brings it up again. You cannot touch this with a 10 foot pole. As a licenced broker, I know it is a condition of my licence that I report illegal acts that relate to my job in any way, shape, or form.

Have you ever watched Judge Judy? If she is willing to make a phone call to verify something, you have to know other judges, magistrates, and, yes, court clerks, do as well.Has anyone filed a false Cert of liability to the court clerk to dismiss a 'driving w/o liability ins' tckt?
Many states now have a data base on line of insurance information which can be accessed by police as easily as running a tag number. You are taking a chance if you do this. It's certainly *possible* that there will be follow up.

I know in our city court anyone who has brought in proof of insurance gets charges dropped, but once their case actually comes before the judge for final review he often asks the clerk to call and verify the information. Not necessarily every case, but some.

Is it worth taking the chance? And of course the person is still without coverage, and subject to being stopped again.

It's one thing to have an ';oops'; but quite another to deliberately defraud the state.
DMV's will verify that the insurance card is from a insurance agency licensed to do business in the state. You are running the risk of having your license sanctioned or revoked by doing this.
No way, NO how would I ever falsify a form that states there is insurance when there isn't. Not only is this putting your license on the line %26amp; your livelihood but you can also be on the hook for stating there is insurance %26amp; there isn't %26amp; the agency may have to pay any and all damages caused in a loss because guess what, they just insured a vehicle without an insurance company. Then, if it is reported to the E%26amp;O carrier %26amp; they find out fraud is involved, they will deny the claim %26amp; possibly cancel the E%26amp;O policy %26amp; then the agency can lose their licenses with the companies. I know of no company that will appoint an agency without an E%26amp;O policy.

Why doesn't this person just BUY THE INSURANCE!!!!! People really bug me that they spend most of their lives trying to get around the law %26amp; get over on others.

Question for you, did he tell the truth to you when he bought his policy from you??? If he is willing to lie once, he has done it before %26amp; will do it again.

I hope he does not find a single agent willing to do this for him. They are crazy if they do.
Simple Don't do it.
